Dotty Vintage Weddings is full of beautiful vintage wedding inspiration. But sometimes, we like to broaden our horizons and shake things up a bit – this week, with the Hippy Hippy Shake!!
I have a huge soft spot for the festival and boho wedding. My wedding next year is taking place on a beach in Cornwall, and I want it to ooze beach chic, with a relaxed ambiance. Whilst I’ll certainly be including vintage references throughout my wedding, I will also be embracing all that is boho.
Boho can be traced back to several different eras, owing a great deal to the hippie style of the 1960’s. But take it back even further and you’ll come across Pre-Raphaelite influences resonating throughout Boho fashion. Whether you choose to adopt all out flower power, or mix up your theme with some grungy/rocky twists, if you’re looking to achieve a genuine ‘chill out vibe’, then Boho might be the right choice for you.
Faye has brought together a truly fabulous moodboard this week. I absolutely adore the tribal sole-less sandals which you can find from GPyoga on Etsy. They do the most amazing range of handmade, tribal and boho inspired jewellery and I’m thinking they’d be perfect for my beach wedding. High heels and a sandy beach don’t really go hand in hand! Tribal patterns can work beautifully alongside a boho wedding theme; Rebecca included some geometric patterns in her article from last week.
