Moodboard Monday – Monochrome vs Rainbow

Faye joins us once for Moodboard Monday, and we’re looking at a real contrast in colour schemes this week – Monochrome vs Rainbow Weddings!
When trying to decide your wedding day colour scheme, it can be tricky to commit to just one or two shades, so why not include them all? If you’re organising a fun-filled wedding day, a rainbow colour scheme might be right up your street. I’d probably only advise this if your venue is a blank canvas, with quite neutral tones throughout. Rainbow colours plus chintzy hotel carpet is a recipe for disaster.
And what about the other end of the spectrum? To me, monochrome oozes sophistication and suave. If you’re planning a bouncy castle, giant games and a fish n chip van, black and white might not be the way to go!
I’ve been pondering about colour schemes for my wedding day too. My wedding dress isn’t going to be entirely white, nor very traditional, so finding a palette of colours to suit this is proving difficult. I’m thinking that perhaps a broader range of colours would be better, that all stem from the colour of my dress, with a few textures and patterns thrown in for good measure.
