The beautiful wedding of Steph & Adam took place on 23rd March 2014, and was captured by the lovely Lucy Noble Photography.
The couple met in the summer of 2004, when Steph plucked up the courage to ask Adam out for dinner and the rest, they say, is history. The couple became engaged on 13th June 2010, and began to plan their gorgeous natural, woodland themed wedding.
Steph tells me more about their wedding planning, “We had a lot of fun with it, it turned it into an after work hobby. We kept clippings from magazines and went to a few wedding fairs. We knew we would be engaged for a long time while we saved up for the wedding so we let our imagination run wild. In the end that helped us to decide what we did and didn’t like and our theme became clear.”
“The most difficult part for me was finding a dress. I really struggled to pick something I liked on the high street so I started looking into vintage dresses and in the end my mother in law remembered a dress she had made 33 years ago and still had stored in her closet. This beautiful Annabelinda gown fit me perfectly. It added history and gave a great story to tell.”
“When we finally realised our theme, we aimed to achieve a natural forest/woodland wedding. Our Save the Dates really set the tone with the colours and the falcons. We both loved the idea of natural colours – creams, greens and browns. It suited the venue and its surroundings. We selected the venue because it offered falconry displays and had a gorgeous little barn owl named Bonny who could deliver our rings. So naturally, falcons became a big part of the theme. Our tables were named after falcons and the people that used to own them.”
What would your top tips be for somebody planning their wedding?
“Don’t limit yourself. Look into all options first and figure out the main ideas you fall in love with, then it is easy to create it on a budget if you research well enough.”
“What we loved most was how creative you can be if you really put our mind to it. Now we are married, we’re trying to find a new hobby to busy ourselves with!”
A huge thank you to Steph & Adam for letting me feature their gorgeous wedding on the blog, wishing you all the very best for the future!
