Over the coming few weeks, I’m going to be showcasing some truly super duper businesses on Dotty Vintage Weddings.
I’ve been privileged that so many amazing creative individuals have opted to promote their work with us, and within Issue Four of Dotty Magazine. This evening, Tracy Q’s Cornwall Wedding Flowers graces the pages of Dotty, and I caught up with the lady herself to find out a little more about her business.
When did you establish the business, and what was your inspiration for doing so?
I started Tracy Q`s Flowers in 2007 after successfully completing an extensive NVQ qualification and spending five years training and learning the trade with an experienced local florist. My desire was to run a floristry business that focused on a more personal service. The business became so successful in all areas of floristry that I felt I was losing touch with my original personal service aspiration. So in 2011, I decided to concentrate on weddings and Tracy Q`s Cornwall Wedding Flowers was born.
Who works ‘behind the scenes’?
To maintain the quality and service that I feel is required, it is just me that designs and creates the wedding flowers. My husband helps with the delivery of flowers, set up of venues and anything else he’s told to do! Although, he is also busy with his vintage 50`s Rockabilly Band “Chrome Deville“.
I’m a vintage bride-to-be – can you help me with my wedding flowers?
With my extensive knowledge of flowers and research ability, I will ensure that the flowers and designs used will match your dress, dream and theme. Whether your theme is 1920`s Gatsby Glamour, 1940`s Nostalgia or the ever popular 1950`s theme, we will create that real vintage touch.
I’m interested in booking you for my wedding – how does the booking process work?
Once you have made a provisional booking, we will get together for a free consultation at a venue that suits you and if follow ups are required then those can be arranged. A visit to the church/ceremony venue may also be needed to ensure every detail is covered. Once I have confirmation of your quotation, your date will be reserved and a deposit becomes payable. Don’t worry if you are unable to see me in person, as I have conducted a number of successful weddings via just email contact.
-Can I find you at any events or upcoming wedding fairs?
Date for events and wedding fairs I will be attending will be posted on my website and facebook pages as they become known. They will include dates at Pendennis & St Mawes Castle, The Alverton Manor and Super Duper Vintage Events.
